It’s confirmed: Bags of Taste Sheffield will launch at the beautiful Manor Oaks House, from 2pm on 4th September! (Ooh, fancy!)
It’s a gorgeous country house in one of Sheffield’s most deprived wards, where we will hopefully run our first free cookery course. (More on that shortly.)
The Sheffield Star will be there, as will the BBC. ITV, Sheffield Live! and others have been invited, but are currently TBC.
We’ve also reached out to a few celebrities, in the hope that one or more will come and sample our fare. (If you can think of a celeb who might fit the bill, please shout up.)
Anyone who wants to pop along on the day would be most welcome. We could do with a hand setting up, cooking up and packing down. So please let me know if you might have an hour to spare, to get this scheme started in style — if you’re not camera shy!
On Wednesday I’m meeting with staff at St Swithun’s in Manor, who may well have the ideal venue for our first course. Stay tuned for updates…
